Artists don’t need the white cube. Art exists in many formats. What It Is provides a venue for installations, happenings, dinners, garden parties, screenings and so forth. Artists are invited to interact with our home and create temporary art works in conjunction with the domestic space we inhabit. Occasionally we take this show on the road appearing at art fairs and expos in Chicago and further afar. To stay abreast of our activities please join our email list below.

Each exhibition will have a public reception. Thereafter the space is open by appointment only. Exhibitions will be documented with a catalogue available here. We welcome ideas and proposals for future projects via email only, mailed submissions will not be returned. Please email info@wot-it-is.com for more information or to request a viewing.

Much love.
